Radiofrequency liposuction of back (BodyTite)

Are you trying to exercise or lose weight through reduction diets but the fat pads on your back don’t want to disappear? A certain ways to get rid of them is liposuction. Both men and women struggle with accumulated fat in their backs. Women can see how it causes the pressure sores from their bra and unattractive bulges under a t-shirt. Liposuction can model the back as efficiently as any other body part. Time to win the battle!

WHAT TO START WITH BEFORE THE PROCEDURE

A tailored procedure

When you decide on liposuction, you are heading towards improving your figure. A pre-surgery consultation with a surgeon precedes every procedure at the Aesthevita clinic. Tell him/her what you wish to change about your body and he/she will assess your needs as a professional expert. The aim of the consultation is so that you leave with a suggestion for a perfect solution to your problem. It may happen that the surgeon recommends that you to suck the fat out of two or three body parts to achieve a better final result.

An effective weapon against fat cells

You are not the only one who is trying to get rid of excess fat on their back and is feeling helpless. Tested methods don’t have to work for everyone – each body is unique and reacts in a different way. We were given the predispositions as to where subcutaneous fat is stored by nature. As well as the extent to which we can influence it by our lifestyle and when we need some extra help. The metabolism is getting slower with age and the fat cells grow. But liposuction will deal with them once and for all.

Right before the surgery

Before you step in to the operation room, you undergo pre-surgery examination with blood sampling and the ECG. The patients aged over 60 undergo an x-ray of the lungs as well, for smokers the age limit is set at 50+.

WHAT IS HAPPENING UNDER THE HANDS OF A SURGEON

Do not be afraid of scars

Sucking the fat out during the process of liposuction BodyTite is performed by very thin cannulas which do not leave profound bruises. Radiofrequency energy effectively dissolves redundant fat and its subsequent sucking is less traumatic for the body. At the same time, this energy has a very positive effect on smoothing the skin with cellulite thanks to warming the skin and the subcutaneous tissue. Moreover, it minimizes the creation of post-surgery haematomas and bruises. The diameter of cannula is only a few millimetres and the scars remaining after the procedure will be of the same diameter. Stitching the wounds with absorbable sutures and application of a sterile bandage come at the end of the surgery.

Which type of anaesthesia will you choose?

The liposuction is performed under both local and general anaesthesia. The second option is more comfortable for the patients – it is painless which will be particularly appreciated by men. Did you choose local anaesthesia anyway? Then take into account that you will have to cope with the pressure of the cannula through which the surgeon sucks the fat out; therefore, you might sometimes feel pain.

How much fat does the surgeon suck out?

During the liposuction, the fat leaves the body together with blood. The surgeon is therefore allowed to remove only a certain maximum amount of fat. It is possible to suck out 4-5 % of the client’s weight at maximum. Nevertheless, it is still true that the surgeon can suck out no more than 5 litres of fat during one surgery regardless the weight of the patient.

THE WAYS IN WHICH I CAN SUPPORT RECOVERY

Allow yourself to relax

Tumescent liposuction in combination with radiofrequency energy is less demanding for the body and the process of recovery is faster than for conventional liposuction. Still, do not perform any demanding tasks in the days right after the procedure. Your back needs to rest. Some small bruises may also appear but they will disappear within 3 weeks.

After you spend a week resting, you can return to your normal activities. You will be able to do sports and other physically demanding activities approximately 4 weeks after the surgery.

Six weeks in the compression garment

Do not take off the compression garment in which you leave the clinic for the next 6 weeks (except for a shower), it prevents the formation of more bruises and facilitates healing.

Swelling disappears gradually

Do not be impatient when looking in the mirror. It takes some time for the body parts to achieve their final shape after the liposuction. The treated parts may be getting into shape for a few weeks after the recovery. Therefore, you might not see them right after the last bruise disappears.

HOW IT WILL CHANGE MY LIFE

Think about your bad habits

We are born with certain number of the fat cells. They behave according to our genetic predisposition and the care we provide our body. Liposuction can get rid of the fat cells but it is not omnipotent. Promise yourself that before the procedure to end with your old dietary sins and to keep the modelled figure.

A sedentary occupation and little time and energy for sports do not only contribute to the growth of fat cells but they are not good for our whole organism. The fat is no longer stored in the treated areas after the liposuction. It is gone from there forever. However, the body cannot be fooled so easily. It will find other areas to store fat; therefore, a change in lifestyle is recommended to help the long-term effect of the liposuction.
