A Guide to Plastic Operations
It is not only complicated to remove fat from the knees, in some cases it is even impossible. Regular exercise and dieting have no effect on them. The body is simply programmed to store fat in this area. "Fat" knees therefore often trouble even otherwise lean people. With liposuction, it is possible to achieve amazing results with a short procedure. Modern VASER Lipo ultrasonic liposuction is also more gentle compared to the conventional liposuction method. You can therefore get rid of excess fat on your knees once and for all.
- ANAESTHESIA: Majority of procedures are done in general anesthesia due to comfort of the clients.
- THE DURATION OF THE SURGERY: 1 – 2 hours
- RECOVERY: 4-6 weeks

WHAT TO START WITH BEFORE THE PROCEDURE
Go for a consultation
Can you already picture yourself in shorts and skirts? Before you are booked for the procedure, you must inevitably undergo a pre-operative consultation first. At the Aesthevita clinic you will receive a consultation by a plastic surgeon, a most competent specialist. Ask him anything you would like to know. You will also find out if removing the fat from only your knees will be sufficient to properly shape your figure. This type of surgery is often combined with liposuction of the inner thighs for the best aesthetic effect.
Where exercise is not enough, liposuction steps in
Each body has a tendency to store fat in certain areas. Both women and men struggle with fat on their knees. Unlike other parts of the leg, the knees cannot be naturally shaped with exercise and diet. While you have been struggling with this flaw for years, surgical removal of fat with liposuction only takes a few moments, and it will permanently rid you of the unsightly deposits.
Right before the surgery
The procedure is right around the corner, but before you enter the operating room, you will undergo a preoperative blood and ECG test. Patients over the age of 60 will also undergo a lung X-ray; for smokers the age limit is 50+.
WHAT IS HAPPENING UNDER THE HANDS OF A SURGEON
Do not be afraid of visible scars
During the VASER Lipo liposuction, the fat is extracted with very thin cannulas that leave no noticeable bruising. The ultrasonic probe mechanically breaks up the fat cells, which crack under the influence of the waves, making it easier to remove them with the cannula. The VASER Lipo device minimizes postoperative hematoma and bruising. The quality of VASER Lipo is attested to by its approval by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). After the procedure, the wounds are closed with absorbable sutures and sterile bandages are applied.
Decide on the type of anaesthesia
The liposuction is performed both under local and general anesthesia. The second option is more comfortable for the patients, because it doesn't hurt a bit, which is mostly appreciated by men. If you choose local anesthesia, expect to feel the pressure of the cannula as the surgeon extracts the fat.
How much fat can the surgeon suck out?
The fat leaves the body along with blood during the liposuction. It is therefore only possible to extract a certain amount. Solving an easy math problem will make it clearer. Calculate 1% of your body weight and multiply it by four or five. The result is the maximum amount of fat that you can get rid of during one procedure. Another rule is that regardless of the patient's weight, the surgeon will never extract more than 5 liters of fat in one procedure.
THE WAYS IN WHICH I CAN SUPPORT RECOVERY
Schedule time off
Ultrasonic liposuction is less demanding for patients, and the recovery process is faster than in conventional liposuction. Nevertheless, it is necessary to rest shortly after the procedure, and minor bruising may occur. After a week of resting, you can slowly return to your normal activities. You can do sports and other physically demanding activities about 4-6 weeks after the procedure.
There is no way without the compression garment
For six weeks after the surgery, you will exclusively wear the compression underwear in which you leave the clinic. Only remove it for short periods of time - to take a shower, for example. This special underwear prevents further bruising and facilitates healing. There is more bruising than it may seem after the liposuction. You will have to be patient before you see your dream curves.
Tip: We recommend alternating between at least two pieces of compression underwear so that the healing wound are always clean. In the first days after the surgery, you should wash the underwear daily.
The curves will gradually become visible
After the liposuction, the body gradually deflates. Don't be surprised if you feel like your arms are not as slim as you would like them to be after a few weeks. It will happen, but perhaps not immediately after the last bruise disappears.
HOW IT WILL CHANGE MY LIFE
The fat will not return to the treated areas
The number of fat cells in our body are determined by genetics and how we take care of our body. Knee liposuction will rid you of unsightly fat deposits once and for all. The removed fat cells do not grow back, so you will no longer store fat in the areas where the liposuction was performed.
Although your body will no longer store fat in the treated areas, it knows its way around them. It will find other places to store fat, and it is therefore appropriate to make changes to your lifestyle in order to maintain your new figure. Exercise regularly to compensate for a sedentary job, and remove as many bad habits from your diet as possible.
The price of the procedure is final, everything necessary is already calculated. It specifically includes the following:
- A consultation with the plastic surgeon
- Compressive postoperative halter garment
- The procedure itself
- A package with postoperative care
The results of all surgeries can be different from the descriptions and photos. The reaction of the organism to any external intervention, substance or material is variable. Therefore, the resulting effect cannot be guaranteed with certainty even with due professional care.
