A Guide to Plastic Operations

Some women are proud of their full shape, and others try to hide it under long tops, loose dresses...There is no reason to hide your buttocks, you can shape them according to your desire. Getting rid of stored fat is no big deal with modern plastic surgery. Liposuction is a popular and accessible way to permanently get rid of excess fat in problem areas. Moreover, the revolutionary VASER Lipo ultrasonic liposuction is more gentle than conventional liposuction.

The procedures can be combined

If you are interested in ultrasonic liposuction, there is nothing preventing you from having a preoperative consultation. At the Aesthevita clinic you will receive a consultation by a plastic surgeon. Show him which areas bother you the most. The doctor will then tell you if he would remove fat from only your buttocks or a combination of two or three other areas.

Liposuction is not omnipotent

Each body tends to store fat in certain areas - this is affected by genetics, age and lifestyle. Women usually store fat in their buttocks, hips and thighs, and men grow "beer" bellies and a double chin. Our metabolism slows down as we age. We start to store more and more fat, especially without a reasonable lifestyle combined with a sedentary job.

Don't expect liposuction to help you lose weight. This procedure is designed to shape the figure, it does not replace a healthy diet and lifestyle. Part of the work is therefore up to you, but liposuction will become your strong ally.

Right before the surgery

Before you start changing your wardrobe, and before you enter the operating room, you will undergo a preoperative blood and ECG test. Patients over the age of 60 will also undergo a lung X-ray; for smokers the age limit is 50+.

Do not be afraid of scars

Sucking the fat out during the process of liposuction BodyTite is performed by very thin cannulas which do not leave profound bruises. Radiofrequency energy effectively dissolves redundant fat and its subsequent sucking is less traumatic for the body. At the same time, this energy has a very positive effect on smoothing the skin with cellulite thanks to warming the skin and the subcutaneous tissue. Moreover, it minimizes the creation of post-surgery haematomas and bruises. Stitching the wounds with absorbable sutures and application of sterile bandage come at the end of the surgery.

General or local?

The liposuction is performed both under local and general anesthesia. The second option is more comfortable for the patients, because it doesn't hurt a bit. If you choose local anesthesia, expect to feel the pressure of the cannula as the surgeon extracts the fat.

How much fat does the surgeon suck out?

The fat leaves the body along with blood during the liposuction. It is therefore only possible to extract a certain amount. Calculate 1% of your body weight and multiply it by four or five. The result is the maximum amount of fat that you can get rid of during one procedure. Another rule is that regardless of the patient's weight, the surgeon will never extract more than 5 liters of fat in one procedure.

Follow a leisurely regime for a couple of days

Tumescent liposuction combined with an ultrasound is less demanding for patients, and the recovery process is faster than in conventional liposuction. Nevertheless, it is necessary to rest shortly after the procedure, and minor bruising may occur. After a week of resting, you can slowly return to your normal activities. You will be able to handle sports and exercise about 4-6weeks after the procedure.

Garment that heals

For six weeks after the surgery, you will be constantly wearing compression underwear, which is one of the most important postoperative measures. Only remove it for short periods of time - to take a shower, for example. It prevents further bruising and facilitates healing. Once the scabs fall off, you can start to gently massage the area. This will give the scars elasticity and speed up their healing.

The curves will gradually become visible

After the liposuction, the body gradually deflates. Don't be surprised if you feel like your buttocks are not as slim as you would like them to be after a few weeks. It will happen, but perhaps not immediately after the last bruise disappears.

Keeping an improved figure is not a sure thing

It is a relentless fact that we are born with a certain number of fat cells. We therefore cannot change our predisposition to higher weight gain. Our fat cells behave according to our genetic predispositions, as well as according to how we take care of our bodies. Although liposuction can rid the body of part of the fat cells, it is not omnipotent. So lock up your old sinful lifestyle and throw away the key. After a successful recovery, it is time to change your lifestyle.

After the liposuction, you will not store fat in the treated areas. Fat cells will never return to those areas. But this won't trick your body. It will find other places to store the fat, which is why the right diet and lifestyle are necessary to maintain the long-term effect of the liposuction. Take a close look at your diet and think about when you last exercised or at least went for a long walk.

The price

The price of the procedure is final, everything necessary is already calculated. It specifically includes the following:

  • A consultation with the plastic surgeon
  • Anaesthesia
  • Compressive postoperative halter garment
  • The procedure itself
  • A package with postoperative care
