A Guide to Plastic Operations
We reportedly receive up to 80 % of information thanks to our eyes. Impaired vision therefore means the weakening of one of our most important senses. Besides other things, the quality of vision is influenced by our eyelids. As we age, they naturally drop because the skin loses its elasticity as anywhere else on our body. It is not only an aesthetic problem for women who struggle due to their appearance. Eyelid surgery is also popular with men. It provides relief for tired and sore eyes. It can stop vision deterioration as well.

More youthful appearance is one of the benefits of blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery in other words. It is nowadays one of the most common procedures of plastic surgery. Both men and women undergo this procedure. The removal of excess skin will raise the eyelid that was obstructing full vision when it was sagging. In addition, eyes look tired and bad with sagging eyelids.
What outcome can I expect?
Berophlasty will take a few years back from your eyes. Your sight will be clearer and it will improve the health of your vision. You will get to know all the details about the procedure at the pre-surgery consultation. You will be taken care of directly by a plastic surgeon from the very first moment at the Aesthevita plastic surgery clinic. He/she will tell you what happens during the surgery and will answer your questions.
Right before the surgery
Before the procedure, you undergo the process of blood sampling. The doctor checks your blood count and blood clotting.
WHAT IS HAPPENING UNDER THE HANDS OF A SURGEON
What is happening in the operating room
The surgeon will remove the excess skin by a thin incision made in the natural fold of the upper eyelid and also under the lashes of the lower eyelid. If necessary it is also possible to remove a layer of fat from the eye area. He/she will cover the wounds with a plaster and a sterile bandage at the end of the surgery. The operation takes approximately one hour and can be performed under local anaesthesia.
With respect to the location of the scars in the fold of the upper eyelid and the lashes of the lower eyelid, the scars after the blepharoplasty remain almost invisible. However, a proper process of recovery is essential.
THE WAYS IN WHICH I CAN SUPPORT RECOVERY
Leave books and TV for later
Arrange your transportation from the clinic as you definitely won’t be able to drive yet. Eyelid surgery is one the easiest procedures, but healing still needs proper care. Cool the eyes with hydrogel cooling pads in the first two days after the procedure. This will minimize swelling. Bruises and swelling will gradually disappear within two weeks.
Not only the eyelids but the eyes themselves should have a rest after the surgery. Do not tire them with reading or watching TV. Protect them with sunglasses during the day.
HOW IT WILL CHANGE MY LIFE
Continue taking care of your eyes
The scars mustn’t come into contact with direct sunlight for at least three months. They would be at risk of turning darker. Therefore always apply enough cream with high sun protection factor. You can apply quality tightening cosmetic products to your skin which will at least partially slow down the sagging process.
The price of the procedure is final, everything necessary is already calculated. It specifically includes the following:
- A consultation with the plastic surgeon
- The procedure itself
- A package with postoperative care
